Tim Burton

Last Thursday night was the grand opening of Tim Burton exhibit at MoMa, NYC. The exhibition have all his works from his sketchbook in childhoods through all his famous movie. The exhibition runs through April 26,2010. I wish I'd be there and take a photo of my favorite "Jack" ,from Nightmare before christmas.

Eno Henze

A Berlin-based artist, Eno Henze, from his stunning amazing….ing works has taken my breath away .. He called this human factor ,I can feel the organ or tissue or whatever but it’s really really awesome. I stared all the subtle and elegant textures to found its beauty. This is wallpaper for a gallery ,and guess what? it’s from computer !

Skywalkers

To celebrate Art Basel Miami, FrindWithYou produce Skywalkers Parade with a set of 18 ballons and 300 volunteers walking along Miami beach. I wish I could be there to see, forgot to say that this is in 2006. but this year might be more to see.

A screen printing process like our workshop. A little bit headache but it's like stop motion, I think if it shorter than this might be better.

It's such a lovely calendar from d-bros designed by Yoshie Watanabe, nice illustration with a great idea of using ribbon through every pages! I wish I could have one, as it already sold out from every websites. T-T

8:00 I Good Morning

While I searching for my tutorial reviews tomorrow, I found this brilliant work in one of my book in a shelf. Sveta Sebyakina believed that it is typography exercises in the morning, as a creative change. In the morning before work to wake up and make an interest and energetic typography from different objects you used in the morning time.It is a very creative idea , using everyday's objects and make it to convey a message "Good Morning" in different languages. This work made me really feel like an energetic morning !

Research Methods

I have learned 3 different ways to do research last Friday. It's good to know that there're more ways to do not only research from library or on internet. What is more, is I can use what I've learn to make my PDF research for the GFD project as well. I learned how to convey a message by drawing a picture, and to see my classmate pictures can inspired me a new idea. What I like most is to interpret my target audiences from using the silhouette and a tracing paper,the outcome was brilliant. And when everyone stick their own tracing paper at a wall ,grouped by the different target audiences, I called that a "Visual Research".

This is how we convey message by a picture.

tracing your target audiences from their style,amazing that just see these objects and you can guess what target audience group it is.

After the morning workshop, I did this GO GREEN by using tracing paper and a picture to interpret my target audience and a message,which is a style people 20-30yers old and "Go Greener" message
